Kiola Camping Holiday - post 4

A snake blocked the road in the bush above Kiola. This snake was brown on top and green on the bottom. Anyone know what the name of this snake is?

In Australia these [o]possums are protected. Why I am not sure because there are as many of these pests in Aussie as there are in NZ. Kids enjoyed feeding them though.

Me using my chainsaw to cut firewood. Daryl and I went out into the bush a couple of times to collect logs and then brought them back to the campsite and chopped them into nice fire-sized chunks. The chainsaw makes it very quick to cut up a nice big pile of wood!

Kiola Camping Holiday - post 1

This year we returned to Kiola on the NSW South Coast for our annual holiday. This time we were there for two weeks.

Our four girls beside the pool.

Peita and Andrew both have skimboards. In my day they were perfectly round and were basically a piece of plywood. Now they are somewhat more sophisticated and are all the rage again.

Cameron from the UK

Recently Cameron came over from the UK to see Bob who is suffering from cancer. Mel and I went up to Brisbane and caught up with Cam, Bob and Anne for a couple of days. We forgot to take pictures in Brisbane but remembered just as we dropped Cam at Sydney airport for his return flight. Here we are on the footpath at Departures (with onlt 30 milliseconds to say goodbye before they ticket you).
