My mate Daryl and I built a frame for the Rugby Scoreboard this weekend. The display is a 8 character x 50mm high LED display. Its not weather proof and not mounted so this frame allows the display to be mounted on a standard tripod like you would use for a camera. Here's the frame close up:

The next step is building a hood so that the display can be viewed in sunny conditions.

Top job. looks the part. You could make it like that times square one just before 911 to mke it even more authentic : )
